Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I’m actually looking forward to the premier of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on October 3 on the Cartoon Network. I didn’t see the movie, so I hope that doesn’t make a huge difference in understanding what is happening. The Clone Wars DVD will be released on November 11, 2008, so I suppose I can catch up then.

I’m surprised I’m interested at all, considering how much I disliked the last three Star Wars films. However, they did spawn quite a few nifty video games and even a few board games, so maybe this animated series will make up for some of the horrid lameness of the films.

I’ve heard very good things about a game called Star Wars: The Queen’s Gambit that was released by Hasbro in 2000. It’s out of print now and costs a queen’s ransom to purchase but I do have a friend that has a copy.

    Should said friend bring it to game night tomorrow night? :-) (It’s a 2 hour game… but WELL worth the time. It also works pretty well as a 4 player game, which surprised me the first time we tried it.)

    Said friend should bring said game, but not tomorrow night. I have to take my wife to UCLA so that doctors can look at her with puzzled expressions.

    Said friend has probably about 200 games I would love to try :-)
