Your description of Cities has got me interested in playing it. I usually play games during my free time on weekends, and of the many different games I've played, I realized that I have a predilection for games that have good variety and requires planning and creative strategies to be used. I would hunt this down right away, so I get to enjoy it right away!

Joe: Mow is wonderful, isn't it? I think it's funny considering how few of them there are in the states that we have three copies in Fresno. That's another one we can trace back to Doug Garrett. He brought a copy and Mark, Mike, and I went on a frantic search for our own. Mark got one right away (because he's Mark and part of the gaming illuminati.)

Doug and Shelley taught Cities to me and Mike, and I think Mike brought it out for you later that day. One of the other things I like about it that I didn't mention is that it plays the same regardless of the number of players because of the simultaneous placement of the tiles.

When Mike pulled out Mow last week I thought it was one of those artscow/print-n-play deals. Bruno Cathala, eh? Well, it's not surprising. I had fun with that one and would certainly put it at the top of the list for games to get warmed up with. It's one of those games that would work really well with my grandmother and my 5-8 year old nieces and nephews.

You might have actually taught me cities at SGG, or was it Mike... anyway. That's a really good one too. I love how everyone plays the same tiles on every turn, completely negating that feeling of getting "bad tiles" in games like Carcassonne.
